While in college they display glimpses of brilliance; convinced of their greatness, many of them forego completing their education and opt to immediately enter the pros. Think about this for a moment, Iverson had one of the winningest coaches in NBA history and best teachers of the game and yet he staunchly rejected his coaches' advice. Read a few of Coach Larry’s accomplishments:

(a)   Only coach in NBA history to lead seven different teams to the playoffs

(b)   Only coach in history to win both an NCAA National Championship (Kansas 1988) and an NBA Championship (Detroit 2004)

Even with that impressive resume, Iverson refused to listen to him, the veteran players on his team and the media. He reminds me of the countless number of guys who write me complaining that they shouldn’t have to go out and PRACTICE approaching women.

C’mon Kenneth, they exclaim, “Why should I have to PRACTICE picking up women? Why should I have to PRACTICE holding conversations with women?” They go on and on whining and complaining about doing this and that, all the while still unable to succeed with women.
